When I played DriveClub at Eurogamer it seemed nearly finished just a few rough bits and frame drops even though it was running on a windows environment( we saw one crash to desktop). My problem with it wasn't it's state of completion I just thought it wasn't very good.
It borrows muchly from Need for Speed and Forza Horizon but isn't as good. Obviously my own opinion but will be interesting to see the reviews for it from neutral sites.
As for...
yeah I've played it but MP gladiator only. Would be nice to know some more about the story and see it!
Looks like a spoke too soon.....still submitting.
OT great feature for Sony. I makes sense for them to leverage their massive media channels.
If so that's a damn good fake. How did you establish its authenticity?
Drooooooollllllll.
Ford GT and I'm happy.
Its great that its quiet.
Given the size of the console and the components within I'm eager to see a tear down to find out how Sony have approached the thermal management. They obviously have a minimalist approach whereas MS have gone big box with lots o' holes and a monster fan.
As for power. I'm sure hes right but I'll wait for a neutral assessment rather than a Sony dev story on a Sony site then mentioned on a very Sony N4G.
I guess digital DL has one advantage after all even if it is not as cheap as it should be.
Interesting but here is something else to consider folks.
I recently watched a piece about container shipping from China and more to the point the mega ships they now use. A typical container can hold approx 15000 iphones for example takes 28 days to reach the UK via the largest type of 'slow steaming' mega ships.
So assuming MS/Sony wont use ai...
I'm British but have a very Irish name so using an online ID just saves on people assuming I'm green army (although I'm very proud of my Irish heritage).
No not really. Numbers of friends isn't really that important as most people probably don't play with more than 30 or so regular anyway. 100,1000,2000 all more than enough for me. I have 36 friends on XBL and id say maybe 20 are true friends i actually know the rest just met through games.
I was more wanting to know about how match making, parties and grouping of friends is done. MS have covered quite a bit of this already and Im curious to know If Sony are going to d...
Wow. On a roll these last 2 days with X1 stories. Good to hear more info about the console and its features. I'd also like to hear a bit more about the PS4 OS as well in terms of app support and friends and some details of the PS4's power requirements at the wall.
OT - the Azure platform and its reservation for Xbox has been covered quite well already. Dedicated servers for all Xbox1 mp games is a massive feature.
You can really tell that Maria has be...
Dedicated servers for ALL mp games confirmed. This is a massive plus for X1 despite the story about it on N4G being largely ignored and therefore not showing in the hottest topics.
I know I always say this but how do you think this would have been treated on this site had it been Sony with the 300k server cloud?
A bit of balance would do N4G no harm at all.
This is great news for Gamers.
That's some cooool stuff.
Will save on my wife sitting across the room with the iPad trying to tell me where the next collectable is.
Dedicated and seperate hardware with dual display panes for this kind of multitasking is going to prove itself very useful.
............. It's a boot up screen.....
I don't think I'll be spending much time admiring the start up screen. Forza 5 and BF4 will be what I'm looking at.
I'm not convinced that either console will provide 1080/60 on a regular basis.
Rather than speculation I'll just wait for the Digital Foundry or LoT investigations. I suspect they will be closer than some people expect having used both consoles already myself.
Lots of good Xbox One news of late. In many ways it's a strong proposition and the use of MS's enormous resources for data centres and software support will ensure that their connected experience will be rich and hard to beat.
Very few companies have the clout and money to even get close to what MS have invested in. Certainly Sony can't and their strategy will probably focus on the strength of their first party and the consoles own hardware abilities.
No, not a chance.
MS seem to be ramping up their information stream of late. The article and video are very interesting.
I've even started to see some 'Preorder on Xbox One' adverts on British tv on DAVE funnily enough.
Interesting how quick Sony were to deal with this.
MS PR team should take note.
@Badkolo
It was handled poorly because it was initially ignored and denied by MS as TKCMuzzer said above. Yes they extended the warranty reluctantly but only after the mother of all PR disasters blew up in their face.
The issue should not have been there to begin with. That sort of stuff damages reputation and sticks in gamers minds even if MS did sort everyone out. I say this as an xbox fan not to bash MS but it is the truth they screwed up big time.
